これは掘り出し物。ライヴでたまたま見て気に入ったのですが、
歌声が良いのと、普遍性のある音楽をやってます。
ちょっと聴いただけではスピッツに似いてるかな、と思う人も多いでしょうが、彼の詩は文学的で独特ですし、メロディーも良い。
しいて言えば、21世紀のはっぴぃえんど。

ロックバンドというより、ボーカルバンドですね。
彼らは、売れていくと思います。
オープニングの「兎と亀」からノリの良いサウンドを聞かせてくれます。

一聴したときに昔のスピッツかと思った。
くるりな雰囲気もある。
とにかく彼らの音楽は聴いていて心地よい。

ロックなサウンドももちろんあるが、歌詞やテイストは明らかにPOPSである。
歌詞もはっぴぃえんどとまではいかないがとにかくそんな雰囲気。歌詞がすごくいい。英単語は使われてるんだけど、
カタカナの方がしっくりくる（この感じわかる？）。・・・日本語なんだよね。
Vo.の中根君の声もそんな歌詞とサウンドにぴったりとしっくりときている。

そうそう、1曲目の「兎と亀」の中にこんな一節がある。

「優しく強く生きて来た足で少しずつ進むのさ」

ここに蝉時雨の今までの在り方があるような気がすごくする。そう、一気に頂に行かなくてもいい。
少しずつでもちゃんと広がって浸透していく、そんな方が彼ららしいし、音楽がずっと残っていくんじゃないだろうか。

蝉時雨。今は名前だけでも今覚えておいた方がいいよ。

そして、音に触れてみて。
きっと、心の中に温かい「何か」を感じると思うから。
