トッドにとっての「ナッズ」とは、ヴァン・モリソンにとっての「ゼム」のようなものですね。「ゼム」を聴いていると、曲は今ひとつでも、ヴァンのソウルフルなヴォーカルは、健在なのです。
でも、この『ナッズ・セカンド』を聴くかぎりでは、全正規トラックがトッドによって書かれたものであり、おそらくメイン・ヴォーカルもトッドがいくつかの曲で取っているはずなのですが、『ナッズ』『ナッズ・サード』でも放たれるトッドの輝き、そしてトッドがソロになってから放つ輝きは、この頃にはありません。よくあるポップなビートルズ系のバンドで、印象に残りません。当時「ナッズ」が売れなかったのも当然。
日本人によって、2006年オリジナル・リマスタリングされた音源。ボーナストラックの歌詞、対訳は省略されています。
