過去の未発表曲集です。

私は、エレクトロニカって深く知らないです。だから、単純に有名なrei harakamiさんの音が凄いと思うのかもしれないですが。
このアルバムを聴いたら、やっぱ凄い。って思いました。

四つ打ちでないことがいいって言うとバカっぽいですけど、まさにそんな感じです。電子音楽＝基本は四つ打ちだと思ってましたし、ドスドスと身体に来る重低音があんま好きではないんです。

そーいう激しい音を聴きたくない気分の時もあります。

このアルバムは全ての曲のタイトルが日本語(ひらがな)です。
ほんっとうに！とげとげしくない。柔らかい。
ベッドで夢を見て、あと少しだけ、気持ちいいから眠らせてよ〜って、気持ちが最もリラックスしている時に頭の中で流れている音楽。

rei harakamiさんの過去の音の変遷は詳しく知らないんですが、
このアルバムのどの曲も、いつ聴いても、作られた時季は違うはずなのに全てrei harakamiさんです。
harakamiさんの創る音は、どこか懐かしい。

何故この時期にこのような未発表音源を出したのか
それは良く分かりませんが、「わすれもの」という
タイトルが言い得て妙でおそらく深い意図もないのでしょう。

内容は決してクロニクル的に配置されているわけではなく
それは新しい作品として世に出したいというrei harakami氏の
意向によるものだと推測できます。

曲も最近のものがやはり音も綺麗で気持ちよく聴ける
ものになっていますが、かといって古い曲が悪いかというと
決してそんなことは無く当時のrei harakamiという
クリエーターの思考を読み解くことが出来るという点で
とても興味深いものになっています。

一度最近のオリジナルアルバムを聴いてから、このアルバムを
聴くと深みが増して良いかもしれません。

有名ピアニストの矢野晶子氏が世界遺産に認定したアーティスト。こんな音・曲を作れるのは世界広しと言えどもレイ・ハラカミさんただ一人だけです。鉄腕アトム２０周年記念のコンピレーションアルバム「アストロボーイ」で始めてレイ・ハラカミさんの曲を聴き衝撃を受けました。その時に聞いたのがこのアルバムに収録されている「あるテーマ」です。聞きなれない機械的な電子音が不規則に鳴り、だんだんとリズムを構成していくその曲調は、目の覚めた鉄腕アトムが試験台から起きあがる様子を感じました。そして唐突に始まるファンタジックなレイ・ハラカミの世界、ただひたすら明るく柔らかく気持ち言い音、こんな曲をつくれる人が日本にいたなんて・・。余韻を楽しめる、散歩中も自然と口ずさんでる自分がいます。ただひたすら優しく柔らかな気持ちになりたい方にお勧め。
今ではすっかり名前買いするアーティストです。もし彼のアルバムが気に入ったら彼のアルバム「lust」もお勧めですよ。
