先入観で、難解なインテリ志向のアルバムかと思って手にとったが、実験的ながらも所々にユーモアを感じさせるので、割と聴きやすいものだった。また、１st収録曲に加えて、７曲のライブ演奏と１曲の初期スタジオ録音が収録され、ボリュームも充分といえる。
ブックレットには当時の写真、フライヤー、ポスターが収められ、ソニックユースの結成のきっかけとも言えるグレン・ブランカや当時のドラマーによるコメントが寄せられたり、サーストン・ムーア自身が収録曲についてちょっとした解説をしているので、ソニックユースのファンにとっては充実した内容だろう。
ただ、現在ソニックユースの才能が結実し、数々の名盤を世に送り出していることを考えれば、この作品は現在の活躍があってこそ評価されるものといっていい。後に才能が花開くかもしれないという、当時の期待感をよくパッケージングした作品として聴くのが妥当であろう。

長らく廃盤となっていたソニック　ユースの1stアルバムが、
リマスターされて再発されました。待ちに待った再発です。
さらにボーナストラックに初期のライブ音源も収録されており、
大満足の内容でした。
