このCDについて

2003年3月27日に、NHK-FMの人気音楽番組「LIVE BEAT」用に
公開録音された音源をほぼノーカットで収録した本作は、
高田親子2人だけによるライブを記録した貴重な作品。
親子ならではの、息のあった演奏はもちろんのこと、高田渡のMCも聴き応え十分。
途中、公開録音ではありえないような「事件」あり。お楽しみに。

【アーティストについて】
69年、スプリット盤『高田渡/五つの赤い風船』(A面が高田)でレコード・デビュー。
部類の酒飲みとしても知られ、ライヴ中に酔っぱらって半分眠りながら歌う
(本当に寝てしまうこともある)独自のパフォーマンスも評判となった。
2005年4月釧路にて急逝。

高田渡とその長男・高田漣の共演ライヴ盤。2003年3月にNHK-FM『LIVE BEAT』用に公開録音されたステージをほぼノーカットで収録。親子ならではの息の合った演奏やライヴならではのハプニングなど、貴重な音源だ。

先日、「アコースティックギターマガジン」に特集されていた、伝説のフォークシンガー「高田渡」に興味が沸き、発売日に購入。

何故、今までこんなに「素敵」な音楽を聴かなかったんだろう？
と思う程に素晴らしいアルバムでした。

とにかく、ディレクターの人が「チューニングまでカットしたくない!!」と言った気持ちがヒシヒシと伝わってきます。

MCから唄、ギター・・・全てを含めて「高田渡」そのもの。

更に、息子さんである「高田漣」の、小さい頃からオヤジの背中を見ていたから出来る、好サポートには「絆」の素晴らしさを感じました!

とにかく、俺もそうですが・・・最初の「高田渡」に!!

高田渡を聴くと、日本語がこれほどに表現力のある言語かと痛感させられる。
落語で言えば志ん生なのかもしれないが、それはただ野放図なだけではなく、何を言うべきか、何をどう伝えればよいのかを知っているからこそ許されるものだということがわかる。文楽のような“名人芸”ではないが、それは確かに“名人芸”である。どちらがいいのではない。すべてを認めての上での彼の選択であったことが伺える。
漣さんもすばらしいが、one & onlyの親父に較べるのは、あまりにも酷ではあるまいか。是非聴いてほしい一枚である。

高田渡の歌とギター、息子高田蓮のスティール・ギターによるライブです。選曲もベスト版的な集大成的な曲目です。
その「事件」なんですが高田渡なら普通のことです。あえて書きませんが買って聴いてください。しかし高田渡関連の音源が続々発掘されて喜ばしいことです。でもあと10年早かったらなあ・・・
