Arctic Monkeys（アークティック・モンキーズ）の1stシングル。

全英シングルチャート初登場1位という衝撃的な登場をしたシングル。

表題曲の「I Bet You Look Good On The Dancefloor」は頭からエンジン全開で突っ走る。
前のめりなリズムに少し遅れ気味に乗っかるボーカルの微妙なバランスが、最高にかっこいい。

2曲目の「Bigger Boys And Stolen Sweethearts」はアルバム未収録のB面曲。
ライブで演奏されたこともあるようだが、ポップな感触がある佳曲。
サビの部分はライブ等で盛り上がりそう。

3曲目の「Chun Li's Spinning Bird Kick」はアルバム未収録のインストナンバー。
密かにかっこいい曲。
自然と体が揺さぶられるグルーブ感がある。

FranzほどPopではなく、ほどよく聴きやすいRock！
確かに商業的に売れるメロディーラインだと思います。
3曲しかないけど、買って損はしません☆

このCDによって彼らの存在を初めて知り、ジャキジャキにトンがったイントロに見事にやられてしまった。UK勢のバンドにしては音圧があり、なおかつざらっとした感じを出しているところがなかなか面白い。2曲目に関してはアルバム未収録の曲だがこれまたイイ。彼らの懐の深さを感じさせてくれるだろう。

　また、このシングルの一曲目に入っているI Bet You Look〜とアルバムに収録されている同名曲は若干ミックスが違う。特にイントロのリフの迫力がアルバムではマイルドになっている印象があり、個人的にはシングルのミックスの方が好みである。
