5.0 out of 5 stars カップリング曲について, 2006/12/30
毎回エルレのカップリング曲の完成度の高さには驚かされます。
『New Year's Day』は「新年なんて待ってたら人生あっという間に終わっちまうぜ」という
細美さんらしい詩とどこか切ない雰囲気を持ちながらもエルレらしい爽快感のあるメロディ
が絶妙にマッチしている名曲です。
『Cakes And Ale And Everlasting Laugh』は聴いてる側も思わず笑顔になってしまう
ような雰囲気・詩の曲で、個人的にはこのシングルの中で一番気に入りました。
さらに、ボーナストラックとしてサンタクロースのLive ver.も収録されているのも嬉しいです。
とにかく、ジターバグだけで評価されるのはもったいないくらいカップリング曲が素晴らしい
CDだと思います。

ELLEファンなら持ってないと。「ジターバグ」は言うまでもないね。「New Year’s Day」「Cakes And Ale And Everlasting Laugh」もいいし、「サンタクロース」もライブバージョンで音痴な男の声もいい。許してる細美君の笑顔が想像できちゃう。

私にとって、エルレほど曲の好き嫌いが激しいバンドはありません。

正直な話、この曲はかなり嫌いな部類に入りますね。
メロディそのものの完成度の高さは素晴らしいと思います。
ただイントロが無いところと、どことなく半端に青臭くて、現実をなめたような歌詞がどうしても受け付けられないです。
