【アーティストについて】
1975年にスティーヴ・ハリス(ベース)を中心に結成されたアイアン・メイデンにヴォーカルとして参加。パンキッシュなボーカルスタイルでへヴィー・メタルの代表的バンドへと成長していく。1980年デビューアルバム『鋼鉄の処女』発表、全英チャートTOP5にランクインする。1981年2ndアルバム『キラーズ』発売後にバンドを脱退。自身のバンド;キラーズやプレイイング・マンティス等との活動やソロ・アルバムのリリースなど活動を続けている。

元有名バンド在籍とか肩書きがある人達がソロ活動や他のバンドに加入して必ずしも良い結果を生み出せるとは、限らない。しかし、この人は、恐い…忘れかけてた頃にやってくれた。ブルータルである。そしてメイデン時代よりパワフルになった。#2は絶品である。アルバム全体NWOBHMの香りをプンプンさせる楽曲が揃っている。メイデンの陰は全くない。ポールのアルバムなので当然だが、ヴォーカルスタイルを恐ろしいまでに全面に打ち出したアルバムである。これを聴いて数年前、ロブ・ ハルフォードがメタル界に復帰した時の様な嬉しさが残り、アツくなれた…

オリジナル・アイアンメイデン・・・　　そんなフレーズはもはや無用！
メイデンのネームバリューでCD買う人や、ブームで音楽を聴く人は、この作品を買わないでください。
本当に欲しい人に、ディスクをまわしてあげてください。
このレビューが役立たずであることを願います。芸術を理解できる人なんて、そんなに多くないですから。。。
