5.0 out of 5 stars モノーラル版選集, 2007/3/24
1950年前後のモノーラル録音。フーガの技法は含まれていない。一部チェンバロの演奏（4つのデュエットBWV802-805）も混じっている。古い録音ではあるが音質には全く問題ない。価格も安いのでステレオ版の12枚組全集（こちらも随分価格が下がった）と併せて持っていても決して損にはならないと思う。

音楽評論家ではないので、バッハオルガンを全部聞いたわけではないが、これがいまのところ一番気にいっている。モノラル録音で高音は特有のかすれた音色だが、低音も出ておりバランスが良い。エコー少なめで直接音主体。演奏は装飾華美でも冗長でも感情過多でもない。やはりWalchaの若いときの録音らしく、スタミナ十分、タイミングがバッチリ決まっている。これ以上正しい模範演奏は無いとゆう感じ。だがコンピュータが演奏するような無味乾燥ではない。お小遣いの少ない小中学生はぜひこれを買いましょう。小さいときにこれを聞いておけばあとはどんなものを聞いても大丈夫（何が？）

1947、1950-1952年に、リューベック聖ヤコブ教会小オルガンと、カペル聖ペトロ・パウロ教会アルプ・シュニットガーオルガンを使ったヴァルヒャの『バッハ オルガン曲全集』第一回目の録音。(四つのデュエットは東ドイツのアンマー社のモダン・チェンパロを使用。) 音は、ちょっと古さを感じるが聴くのに支障は無い。モノラル録音のせいか、残響が全くと言って良い程、入っていないので、奇異に聞こえる人もいるかもしれない。
