   本作前半最高のクライマックス。なんと、ヒロイン遠坂凛のサーヴァント・アーチャーが絶対最強の敵・バーサーカーと対決することになるのだ。相手は無敵。凛はアーチャーに足止め（犠牲）を命じる。それでも「時間を稼ぐのはかまわんのだが、別にアレを倒してしまってもよいのだろう？」と強気な捨てゼリフを背中越しに語るアーチャー。この背中越しのセリフにしびれたファンも多いはず。逆境で微笑むことができる者こそ、真の漢。ゲーム版では描かれなかったバーサーカーとのバトルシーンも大迫力。エンディング曲もアーチャー編になっている。このシーンを描けたことで、本作の評価は原作を超えたといえるだろう。ぜひとも、1巻の伏線から振り返って観てほしい。ちなみにPCゲームファンに待望の魔力回路移植シーンも本作に収録。結構、エッチですよ。（志田英邦）

原作の内容は全く知りませんので、アニメ作品としてのみの評価です。
聖杯を巡る７人の魔術師（マスター）と各々の使い魔（サーヴァント）の戦いを描いたバトルアニメ。今巻には１３話から１５話が収録されています。
前巻でライダーを退けたセイバーですが、その代償は大きくいきなり消滅のピンチ…って言うところから今巻はスタートします。魔力を使い果たし消滅の危機に瀕したセイバー、マスターでありながら何も出来ない士郎、セイバーの人間時代の記憶が描かれ、そのヴィジョンを士郎が共有している点など、士郎とセイバーの関わりを想起させる演出もありますが、何故セイバーはこの無能をマスターとしたのか、その根本的な部分がどうしても見えてきません。その上イリヤにあっさりとっ捕まり更なる窮地へ仲間を落とし込むなど、原作を知らぬ身にとって士郎は、バトルモノの主人公に相応しくないと感じてしまいますね。
対照的にその尻拭いをする羽目になったアーチャーが非常に魅力的に描かれており、アーチャー対バーサーカーのバトルは作画面、演出面、シナリオ及び台詞等、際立った出来の良さでした。ただバトルそのものは高レベルだったものの、結局アーチャーは何者だったのか？士郎との関係は？弓兵のクセに弓をほとんど使わなかったのは何故？新オープニングに描かれているシーンは何？等、原作を知らない者にとっては数々の「？」が残ったままになってしまいましたね。
今巻萌え要素は無しかなと思っていたところ、セイバーを回復させる場面でかなり怪しい雰囲気が演出されています。ひょっとしたら原作ではアッチ系の展開になっているのか…とも思わせましたが、アニメではそこまでの描写は無い上、心象風景内の龍が全てを台無しにしてしまったと言う印象ですね。
全体に「気になった人は原作をプレイして下さい」とでも言っている様で、アニメのみでは作品の魅力を充分に描ききれていない気がして残念です。

これまでアニメ版は、ただ単に「ＦＡＴＥファンだし、まあ買っておくか」くらいの気持ちでしかＤＶＤを買っていませんでした。
今回も同じようにとりあえずで買っておいたのですが、終盤のアーチャーＶＳバーサーカーの戦いはものすごく盛り上がりました。原作では、シナリオの構成上、アーチャーの正体がバレるような演出(結界とかね)はできないので、ただ単に相棒である凛の様子で「ああ、やられたんだな」という感じでしかありませんでした。
アニメはそうした制約がないので、漢アーチャーの独断場です。
あの場面でＥＭＩＹＡアレンジを流すわ、少しずつ呪文を唱えながら攻撃を加えるわで、はっきりいって話の展開が読めているにも関わらず目が離せません。
やるなぁアニメ製作スタッフ連中！と思いました。
私が単純なだけかもしれませんがね…。

この巻は何を言おうとアーチャーが全てです。
これまでの話での戦闘シーンに物足りなかった方にも満足できるぐらいのレベルの出来じゃないかなと思いました。
とにかく展開が熱いです。見る者を興奮させる素晴らしい出来。
良いタイミングでEMIYAも流れ、まさに・・鳥肌モノです。
しかし、DVD５巻という視点で見ると他の２話は
展開にハリがないので少々物足りなさを感じるものの１４話の出来は
最高なので、それが購入目的ならいいんじゃないかな・・と思います。
