ブルーノートから出てるアルバムなのに
むちゃハードロックなフュージョンなんです
（6.だけファンク系）
方向性としてはコージーパウエル（Dr）のソロ作品なんかと近い感じです
まぁなにしろ
ムザーン（Dr）の重厚な刻みとむちゃ多い手数がとてつもなくかっこいいです

ギターはトリプル編成でバッキングやソロ・ハモリを入れ替わり分業でやってるみたいです
パープル加入前のトミーボーリン（G）なんかも参加していて、3.7.8.でソロをとっています

とりあえずジャズ一筋な人はブルーノートだからって買っちゃダメです
前作がファンク系だったからってファンク系だと思ってる人もちょっと待って下さい
本作はマジでハードロックです
ハードロックなフュージョンが好きな人にはたまらん作品だと思います

ジャズ・ロックとかクロス・オーバーとかって言われる音が結構好きなのですが、ドラマーとしてその分野を引っ張って行った立役者はB.コブハムと、このA.モーゾンだと思うのです。
本作は'74年辺りの作品で、音的にはかなりロックっぽいものになっています。L.リトナー、J.グレイドン、T.ボーリン、J.ピーターズまで参加しての一大ロック大会という感じでしょうか(^^;
とはいえ、やはり安っぽくはなく、そこいらのロックバンドがアルバムの穴埋め的に挿入するインストものとは比べ物にならない程いかしています。ギターそのものについては、(いい意味で)特に言うことなし。寧ろ(というか、やはり)ツインバスでドンドコ言わせているA.モーゾンのプレーを堪能すべしだと思います。ロック・ファン(ロック・ギター好きの方)も納得できる一品だと思います。

ｳｴｻﾞｰﾘﾎﾟｰﾄの初代ドラマー、アルフォンスの初めてのソロアルバム。
有名なメンバーを従えてのドコドコドラムははっきり言ってカッコイイ！ギターでトミーボーリンも４曲で参加。ビリーコブハムのスペクトラムよりもロックしてます。
