刺激的であると同時に、知性的である。この両者が、これほどの高レベルで表現されることは難しい。刺激に走れば、粗野になる。一方で理知に走れば、感情が込められない冷たい音楽になる。両立させたところにDuke Pearsonのセンスと知性を感じる。しかも、彼の他のアルバムと比べても、刺激的なところがずば抜けて良い。最高の一枚である。

フルートのJerry Dodgionは情熱的な音色が特色。vibraphoneのBobby Hutchersonは前衛音楽にも傾倒した人である。やはり熱く、音が力強い。この２人を揃えたから、熱の入った演奏となった。さらにリズムがエキゾチック。彼自身が「今までよりもエキゾチックな音楽を試したかった。様々なムードに光を当てながら」（ライナーノート）と狙った通り。曲毎に多彩なリズムや雰囲気でありながら、どれも情熱的な音楽になっている。

一方で知的な響きに、Pearsonの特質を感じる。これは他のアルバムでも聴かれる通りで、裏切らない。彼以外のメンバーも皆、演奏レベルが高く余裕が感じられる。巧みに抑えて演奏するところに、知性を感じる。

知的労働で疲れた後に、頭をリフレッシュするのに格好の音楽だ。刺激的でありながら、知的だから、思考で凝り固まった脳が刺激され、少しずつほぐれる。濃いコーヒーでも飲みながらだと、爽快になる。知性と刺激がよく融和した、素晴らしいアルバムである。
