“モータウン・サウンドの女神、タミー・テレル。
彼女の名唱や代表曲を集めた究極のコレクション！”

と、帯に書いてある通りで、これはUK編集の“The Essential Collection”と同内容、全18曲入りのコンピレーション。念のため、15曲め以降の曲名を書いておくと、

15. ローン・ロンリー・タウン
16. スロウ・ダウン
17. アイ・ガッタ・ファインド・ア・ウェイ・トゥ・ゲット・ユー・バック
18. エイント・ノー・マウンテン・ハイ・イナフ（with マーヴィン・ゲイ）※

となります。
盤の内容そのものに関しては申し分なく、上記の“The Essential Collection”のレビューをご参照いただきたいのですが、それにしてもこの日本盤CD、解説・歌詞・対訳・曲データがいっさいない。気持ちいいまでに、ない。載っているのは曲名だけ。いいとこを強引に探すと、本体がちゃんと日本でプレスされてるとことか、「タミー・テレルのソロCDが日本で発売された」という、その事実がちょっと感動的だという、それぐらい。ふざけてんのか！　いくら制作費節約のためとはいえ、こりゃあんまりだ。せめて楽曲の作者名ぐらいは表記しようよ。
頼むよ、ユニバーサルさん・・・・・。

※なお、マーヴィンとのデュエットも５曲収録されている２枚組『ザ・ヴェリー・ベスト・オブ・マーヴィン・ゲイ』（海外盤は同題、もしくは“Gold”のタイトル）に収められた「エイント・ノー・マウンテン…」は、通常のものとはヴォーカル・ミックスが異なり、タミーの歌声が多めに聴ける貴重なヴァージョンだ。
