スピッツは1〜3枚目のアルバムが本当に素晴らしい、と個人的に思う。このアルバムはその1st〜3rdを含めオリジナルアルバムを全部揃えているようなファンはあえて買う必要はないかも知れない。だがスピッツ初心者の人には是非オススメしたい1枚。そして冒頭で述べた1st〜3rd収録曲に是非触れていただきたい。個人的に『日なたの窓に憧れて』がイチオシ。空も飛べるはず、ロビンソン、チェリー、はたまた最新シングル・魔法のコトバといったポップの傑作たちに全くヒケを取らない名曲中の名曲です。

僕はスピッツ初心者でよくわからないままこのCDを買ったのですが、いい曲ばかりで、詳しい人に聞いてみたところやはり、平均的にいい曲が入っているようです。どの曲もCMなどで聴いたことのある曲(一番最近のやつで五年前位)で受け入れやすいと思うので、このCDからスピッツデビューするのもいいかもしれません!

このCDを買う前にとりあえず試聴してみました。
歌番組もテレビ自体もあまり見ない自分でもほとんどの曲が聞いたことがある、ということにまず驚きました。
このアルバムはシングルをリリース順に収めたということなので、ふつうのアルバムのようにアルバム自体の流れにストーリーがある、というわけではなくて1曲ずつがそこで完結する完全な世界の集合体です。

草野マサムネの風貌から受けるイメージと彼が作り出したそれぞれの世界、そしてそれを完璧に表現できる歌のうまさ。
すべてがとても調和がとれていて、聞けば聞くほどいろいろと納得できるアルバムです。

爽やかなイメージの中の、底に太く横たわるロックの気骨、乾いたアンニュイなパンクの要素。
耳に心地よいとばかりで通りすぎることを許さない、深さを持ったバンドだということがわかりました。
