今までOfficeでやっていた作業を、実用でiWorkでこなせる時代がきました。PagesではWordファイルの読み込みと書き出しが、KeynoteではPowerpointの読み込みと書き出しが可能になり、通常のビジネスワークはiWorkで完結します。まだExcelのように複雑ではありませんが、実用に十分耐えうる表計算能力も備えています。

もちろんAppleデザインテンプレートの価値は言わずもがな。視覚的インパクトの価値を考えるならば、Keynoteは貴方の営業力を確実に伸ばすことでしょう。さらにはiLife '06との連携で作業効率は飛躍的に高まります。それでいてこの価格。試してみても損はないでしょう。

将来的にAppleWorksと統合するようならば、死角がなくなりビジネス環境として完成するのではと、勝手に期待してます。次期バージョンでExcel互換実現も夢ではないかも。

惜しむべきは、iWorkの動作推奨がTiger以降であるという点でしょうか。

購入にあたって最も注目したのは表計算機能です。
早速、Pagesの旧バージョンで作っていた請求書に、自動計算機能を追加してみました。
基本操作としては、計算結果を置くセルを選択して、そこにどのセルとどのセルの計算結果を入れるか？を設定していくという形です。
計算式は基本的な四則演算から、論理式など、複雑な関数まで使えます。
Excelは使いこなせない私ですが、これは簡単に使えました。
請求書レベルでは、まずレイアウトありきで、付与的に簡単な自動計算機能があればよいので、私のニーズにぴったりなソフトです。

PowerBookG4 1.64GHzで使っていますが、前バージョンと比べて動作速度の感触は変わりません。十分な速さです。
次のバージョンでは、
表から外れた飛地にも変数を出力できるような機能を期待して、★４つとさせて頂きます。

Pages : Wordより直感的で使いやすい点は評価できます．が、
・表計算機能は使えない(平方根も三角関数も使えない)
・数式入力が大変. Grapherから"指定フォーマットでコピー", MSOfficeの数式エディタから張り付け, TeX->pdfで画像として貼付け等．
という点はいまいち．

Keynote : 配置ガイドや発表者ディスプレイは非常に便利．MacOSXに標準添付されたフォントもGoodです. アニメーション、画像のマスクがなければパワポへの変換もうまく行きます．最終的な手直しはパワポでやる必要がありますが安いので買う価値はあります.
