デンマークの国民的バンドとして、現地では圧倒的な人気を誇るカシミールの5th。

繊細さとダイナミックさを兼ね備えたサウンド、
そして何よりも、哀感漂うメロディーとハーモニーの妙が魅力だ。

また、各曲の配列にも、十分な配慮が行き届いており、
アルバムの流れが非常にスムーズになっている点も見逃せない。

最後を飾るタイトル・トラックの(11)は、静から動へそして静へと、
情景が短編映画のように移り変わっていく様が圧巻の長尺曲。
アルバムは、この最終曲に向かって収斂していく。

バンドの自信がみなぎる力作だ。

ディティールにこだわった前作”シティライツ”から約二年、
待ちに待った通算５枚目となる最新にして
最高傑作と断言したいクールビューティー。
ボウイ様や御大ルー・リードといった超豪華ゲストに、
プロデュースがトニー・ヴィスコンティという文句無しの布陣も
華を添える。
