本当にこのアルバムは「ギターの音がキレイ」。その一言に尽きますね。[Where Were You][Two Rivers][Behind The Beil」など魂を持っていかれそうなほど繊細でキレイなギターの音が聴けます。本当に。でも間間にガツンとした曲があり、マンネリした感はありません。
そしてこのアルバム、何と言ってもベーシストが居ないというのが革新的！　でもベーシストがいないことを感じさせません。逆にベースがない分、ジェフベックのギターが自由に舞っている感じがします。
１、ギターグッズの名前のアナウンス（？）が入る曲。ドラムがかっこいい。
２、タイトルからして古いジャズの影響でしょうか。ピッキングハーモニクスが聴けます。
３、レゲエのリズムを持った曲。
４、リフや決めフレーズがかっこいいロック！な曲。
５、こんな綺麗なに凄いギターが弾けるのはジェフベック以外にいないでしょう。「聞く」ではなく「聴いて」下さい。
６、ホンダアコードのCMとして使われていました。
７、ファンキーな曲。ギターが目立つ曲ではありませんが、ジェフベックの天才フレーズは健在です。
８、タイトルにあるように、川の流れをイメージさせる滑らかな曲。素晴らしいです。
９、パンキッシュな曲。

5.0 out of 5 stars ジェフらしさが戻ってきたアルバム, 2008/8/26
前作“Flash”ではポップ色を加え、旧友ロッド・スチュワートや自らのボーカルを
導入するなどしてはみたものの、いつも我が道を行くジェフ・ベックの作品としては
誰もが肩透かしをくらった様な内容でした。
その4年後(1989年)に発売されたこのアルバムでは、随所にジェフらしさが散りばめられており、
タイトル名同様の内容で、当時とてもうれしかった記憶が今も蘇ります。
背筋がゾクゾクするようなトリッキーなフレーズの洪水のような冒頭の“Guitar Shop”から
ハイテンポな“Sling Shot”まで、実に繊細かつスリリングな展開が繰り広げられています。
過去のどの作品においてもドラマーの起用には驚かされましたが、
今回もテリー・ポジオがとても良い仕事をしていると思います。
このアルバムでは効果音的に「ボーカル」が数曲で導入されていますが、
やはりジェフにはボーカルレスのギター（インスト）アルバムが似合います。

３人でやっているとは思えない音がスゴくよいです。
はやりリズム隊がすばらしいからこそ、こういったアルバムが生まれたのだと思います。
