ソウルフルなバラードで、中島美嘉の魂がこもったボーカルが堪能できる。ベストアルバムを境に、彼女の成長した表現力を実感できる作品だ。
やはり中島美嘉には、バラードのような熱唱するタイプの歌がよく似合う。ボーカルの力強さも申し分ない。
反面、サウンドはシンプルで、インパクトに欠けるところはある。
実に大人っぽい曲で、彼女の声質とも良く合っていると思う。

待ちに待った一枚。アニメ「BLOOD+」を見ているファンなら、待ち焦がれ度は分かってもらえるはず。海外で録音したというサウンドは、なるほどな、と思える仕上がり。曲のイメージから来るスケール感は、日本発とは異なる広がりを持ってます。スローな曲を歌わせたら、現在、中島美嘉より表現力のある歌手はいないでしょう。「今年も話題独占」な予感満載の一曲です。カップリングの「BLACK&BLUE」は化粧品のCMでおなじみ。「SEVEN」と同系列のドライでクールな曲。この一枚だけでも、彼女の多彩な表現力が堪能できます。
