ドラマーがGyp Casinoからイギリス人のRazzleにチェンジし、1983年に発表された3rdアルバム。
このアルバムからMichael Monroeの存在感が大きくなった。
確かに、Mikeは、デビュー当時から非常に華のあるフロント・マンではあった。
しかし、これより前のアルバムでは、仮にAndy McCoyや全く別のシンガーが歌っていたとしても、たぶんHanoi Rocksとして成立していただろう。
このアルバムから、Mikeの声が格段にパワフルになり、シンガーとしてのステータスが完全に確立された。
もしかすると、プロデューサーである元Mott the HoopleのDale GriffinとOverend Wattsに何かしらの刺激を受けたのかもしれない。
Andyの書く曲にも若干の変化が表れており、アメリカ進出への色気を感じさせる曲が増えている。
"Malibu Beach Nightmare"や"Lick Summer Love"、"Ice Cream Summer"など、夏を感じさせる曲が多いのも、このアルバムの特徴だろう（夏といっても、Long Hot Summer的なイメージではなく、北欧フィンランド出身の彼等らしい、短く儚い夏のイメージだ）。
フィンランド、スウェーデン、イギリスと渡り歩いてきた彼らが、いよいよ本格的にアメリカへ乗り出す前夜祭のような、秘められたパワーが感じられるアルバムだ。

Slef destruction bluesで人気を高めた彼らがドラマーを交代してレコーディングした最初のアルバム。プロデューサー陣も協力で、バンドの能力も過去のアルバムを凌ぐ水準まで引き上げられています。
これぞHANOI ROCKS！という楽曲が最も多く見られるアルバムではないかと思います。名盤で知られるTWO STEPS FROM THE MOVEはプロデューサーの色が強く出ているのに対して、このアルバムではバンドとしての色合いが強いので、その後のソロ活動などにも繋がる部分も多く、どのような形で彼らを知ったにしても、損はしない一枚だと思います。

1983年リリースのリマスタリング盤。ドラムス担当が、ジップカジノからラズルに変わり、これぞハノイロックスと言える作品で、メンバー個々の個性が絶妙に融合して、独特のノリを作り出している。やはりラズルの加入によるところが大きいかもしれない。聴きごたえ有り。
