このDVDには第４話から第６話までが収録されます。第４話には、いよいよ今後もシャナや悠二を助けることになる“紅世の王”蹂躙の爪牙マルコシアスと、弔詞の詠み手マージョリー･ドーが登場します。第５話には悠二のシャナに対する想いを問われる屍拾いのラミーが登場します。第６話からは“紅世の王”であるフリアグネとの本格的なバトルシーンがあります。これからも灼眼のシャナはアニメも原作も続いていくのでこれからも大いに期待します！

　遂にあの第４話「惑いのフレイムヘイズ」が収録されています。
　「かなり思い切った」シャナの着替えシーンが入っています。
　着替えシーンに合わせてアラストールがきわめて重要な設定説明をしているのですが・・・
　全く、頭に入らないｗ
　しかし、冷静に考えてみると、この手法はかなり頭が良いと言えます。
　理由ですが、ある程度以上のヲタの方なら「繰り返し」何度でも見ますからね。
　まるでサブミナル効果のように「フレイムヘイズとは？」「この世界観とは？」が頭に入ってきます。
　その後のストーリー及び、脚本は見ている方のほぼ全員がそういう世界観を理解した上でしか組めない込み入った物を作る事が可能です。
　実際問題、第５話と第６話は「そういう作り方」で作ってありましたから。
　既にアラストールのセリフを暗誦出来るレベルに達してしまった自分がここにいる事に色々な「アレ」を感じて星５個でお願いします。

基本は原作の小説どおりだけど、フリアグネとの戦闘シーンがめちゃくちゃで、原作では燐子（りんね）であるマリアンヌを徒（ともがら）にするという野望を持って戦い、最後にはシャナを倒し野望がかなう寸前に顕現したアラストールに焼かれてしまうという少々切ない終わり方だったのに対し、アニメではフリアグネは発狂してそのまま討滅されてしまうという敵側の思想を無視した終わり方をしているのが残念でした。
