内なるパワーが湧いてくるたびに「ああ！これがドリカム！」と、思う。自然と身体がリズムを取り出して日常が音楽に揺れ始める。そしてこのアルバムはこころで握った拳のような力強さも秘められていた。それはアレンジに施された低音の響きや、吉田の声に息づく強い意思としても表れていただろうと思う。今作に共鳴して鼓動が刻み始めたら“愛がROCK”しているのかも。

「PROUD OF YOU」はWBCのスポンサーCMで大いに曲の底力を発揮したが、内側から突き上げてくるゴスペルは今作タイトルの息吹を最も表しているだろう。「何度でも」もまたその一つ。LIVE8等で演奏され、詞に表されたうねりがこころを加熱していった。「JET!!!」のキュートなPOPはDCTの品の良さに加え、大人のクールさも兼ね備える。そして「SPOON ME, BABY ME」の作りこんだ1曲は特に注目。大袈裟でもキャッチでもなく、フラットなままクールさを着替えてゆく曲。副旋律が入り組み振幅の孤がどんどん速く大きくなり、声はまるで嵐を抜ける風のように雲の彼方へ飛び込んでいった。

今回の吉田の声はパワフルさよりもしなやかさで引き付けるものがある。「めまい」のようにロングトーンの曲もあるが、技術よりもハートで揺さぶるアルバムだ。力により愛がROCKするのではなく、温かさに触れて胸が動き出す、それを作り出す彼女のこころが表れたこえだった。

しかし、ドリカムをたまに聴くたびに身体から余計なものがはがれ落ちていってピュアな魂に戻れるのは何故だろう。何故こんなに彼女の声はこころの中に染みてくる音色なのだろう。これが「LOVE ROCKS」を聴いているときの実直な想いだ。

「空を読む」
聞いていて涙が流れました。
本当にその通りなんです。思い通りにはいかなくて、愛したい人には伝わらなくて、今日も空を見上げてしまうんです。

「めまい」
桜の淡く儚い色が目の前に広がります。
好きな人と見る桜はやっぱり特別なものですよね。

「嘘にきまってる」
メロディがかっこいい！

「哀愁のＧＩジョー」
守りは堅かったにはあたしも笑ってしまいました。

「何度でも」に今日まで何度励まされたことか。
「ＪＥＴ！！！」はすごくかわいい。好きな人に会いに行くときとかこんな気持ちなる！！！

ＬＯＶＥがＲＯＣＫするまさしく素敵なアルバムです☆

このアルバムのツアーを見に行ってきました。
美和の歌に対する情熱や愛が沢山で
生で聞いた”めまい”はもう最高で感動で涙が出るほど
それほど素晴らしいアルバムです。

これぞドリカムワールドな１枚。
ゼヒ聞いたことがない人は１度聞いてみてほしいと
心から願う１枚です。
