マリオ・デル・モナコ　1952-69年DECCA録音の全オリジナルアリア集、カンツォーネ＆ラテンソング＆ミュージカルナンバー、宗教歌曲録音集大成。
黄金のトランペットと評された輝かしく力強い歌声は、ともすれば画一的と言われることもあるが、このCDのいろいろなアリアで（かなり珍しい曲や舞台では歌わなかったものも含まれる）表現や声の色彩まで微妙に考えられていて（それがすべて成功しているとは言わないが）とても興味深い。
やはり彼の十八番だったヴェルディ、ヴェリズモものは文句なく素晴らしいです。
デル・モナコファンには是非お勧めします。
