昭和という戦争があった時代を表しているイメージだ。さいごの昭和という曲で、一つの時代が終わったのをすごく現している。今この平成の時代に聴くべきだ。名曲ぞろいでもある。

まさしく昭和が終わろうとしていた頃、伝説のドラマ”とんぼ“の異様なまでの緊張感を引きずったまま発表されたこのアルバムは、”長渕剛“という存在を世間に叩き付けた決定的な一枚だ。

真っ暗闇の原風景から必死に自分自身を見つめ直そうとする様が圧倒的な『いつかの少年』、あの世までも添い遂げようとする男と女を狂おしく描いた『激愛』、何の説明もいらない名曲中の名曲『とんぼ』など作品の密度の高さは半端ではない。中でもアルバムタイトルでもある『昭和』は全てを飲み込み肯定していこうという凄まじい決意が表れていて深く心が打たれる。

長渕剛の代表作。

「とんぼ」、「激愛」そして「昭和」と名曲ぞろいのアルバム。

自分は普段洋楽ばかり聴くのですが、「昭和」という曲を聴くと、当時の長渕さんのミュージシャンとしての表現力は世界的に考えても、かなりのレベルに達していることがわかります。
