不眠症に悩まされていた小説家でありスクリーンライターのダイアナ・オサナ（脚本＆プロデューサー）がアニー・プルーのブロークバックマウンテンをアメリカの雑誌ニューヨーカーの10月13日号で読んでから映画化まで8年。そこまでの道は長く険しかったとか。
小説、映画、スクリーンプレイも星5つなのですが、サントラも絶対星5つ！カントリーミュージックが苦手な私ですが、アメリカ版をアマゾンで購入してからはほとんどこればかり聞いています。内容も曲調も明るくてもこれは悲恋の映画。泣けてきます。

5.0 out of 5 stars 唯一聞きながら涙するサントラ, 2006/5/10
ブロークバック・マウンテンのサントラは、本当に心に響きます。
同性愛への偏見が今よりもっと過酷であった当時、男二人の長年に渡る恋愛模様。
そして、周りの人々も同時に受ける苦悩。
原作よりもより丁寧に描かれている映画でした。
そんなこんなを思い出しては、ブロークバックでの二人が懐かしく思え、胸を締め付けます。
こんなに切ないラブストーリーは初めてでした。

特に、歌が入らない曲
「ブロークバック・マウンテン」
「THE　WINGS」等
を聞いていると、映画で受けた感動を追体験出来、涙がホロリなんて事も。

今一番聞いているサントラかも知れないですね。
読書等のバックミュージックにも最適だと思います。

映画が気に入った方には百パーセントお勧めするサントラです。

映画はまだ観てませんが、先にこのCDを買ってみました。
落ち着いたメロディーで、これから映画を観る人も、
知らなくてもこのCDのクオリティーは高いと思う！
僕はSTORYを知っていたので、この曲たちを聴きながら涙。。
歌詞も素晴らしいので、是非　歌詞も見ながら…！
