マッチ25周年記念第4弾としてリリースされるベスト盤は、
聞くところによると先行リリースのトリビュートアルバムに
収録されるオリジナル10曲にマッチの思い入れのある7曲を
加えたものであるらしい。

初CD化と思われるアルバム音源も数曲あるが、シングル曲をはじめ、
ほとんどはCD化されており、1月リリースの「マッチ箱」を購入した
ファンにしてみれば、新鮮味にやや欠けるベスト盤といえよう。

あえてこの時期に続けて「ベスト盤」をリリースするならば、
マッチ自身の選曲によるものとファン投票等による選曲で構成された
本当の意味での「BEST」を聴きたかった。

未だソニー在籍前のアルバム曲がCD化されていないのが、何よりも
不満。
レース活動に専念する前の、マッチ黄金時代ともいえるあの時代の
楽曲たちをもう一度デジタルリマスタリングで聴きたい!!
できれば、オリジナルカラオケも「おまけ」して頂けると、男の子ファンは
もっと嬉しいに違いない。

次に期待を込めて、三ツ星としておこう。

私にとって、LPで聴いた懐かしいアルバム曲がCDになり、嬉しいです。
（哀しきハイスクール・五月雨Good-byeなど）
アイドル時代の名曲が詰まったベストアルバムで聴き応えあります。

　『MATCHY TRIBUTE 』が思いのほか楽しめたので懐かしくて聴いてしまいました。原曲たちの音の古さがかえって僕の心にはプラスに作用し、懐かしい子供時代が蘇りました。　
　「哀しきハイスクール」「五月雨 Good-bye」「イヴの告白」「夏のエアメール」「うそのない言葉」「少年のこころ」は初めて聴きました。ということはシングルのB面やオリジナルアルバムの脇役を飾った曲達なのでしょか？この６曲がとても素敵だなあと思いました。ファンにとっても、ただ単に「懐かしBEST」で終わらない魅力がこの作品集にはありそうです。
