ＦＰＭのオリジナル５作目「imaginations」
初回特殊パッケージ、アートワークはGroovisions。

印象的には初期FPMの薫り漂う感じ。
前作「Too」のような強烈なインパクトは感じられない、というか「Too」が良過ぎたと個人的に思う。

初期FPMっぽい軽くやばいでお馴染みの「paparuwa」、Sound Conciergeの最新作に収録の「Tell Me」、RipのSUをフィーチャーした「dance dance dance dance」、Saigenjiや「City Lights」で競演したSax奏者田中邦和氏などを擁してカヴァーした「french kiss」、Ugly Ducklingをフィーチャーしたコミカルでファニーな「take me away」など。
もう少し男前な曲が欲しかった

FPMを初体験してみました。前半はtahiti80など有名海外アーティストとのコラボレーションをフィーチャーした比較的おとなしめでお洒落に聴けるような曲が並んでいる。しかしそれに安心したままアルバムを流し続けていると、後半から猛烈なトリップ感のある曲の渦に巻き込まれる。特に（１０）（１１）のテンションとトリップ感が凄い。ぱっちんぱっちんとガラスが割れるような反復音が非常にリアル。寝転がってボーッと聴いていたら、急に天井が落ちてきたのかと思うような錯覚に捉われた。聴き手がじっとして聴くのを実に拒む作品。こういう戦慄を覚えるようなクラブ系の音は近年でも希少だと思う。ジャケットのインナースリーブ内部も歌詞の対訳といい、上品なのかサイケデリックで下品なのか見る者の心を惑わせるイラストといい、よい意味で人を食った作りで不思議っぽさを高めている。

「CDアルバム」という商品として多角的な面からアーティスティックな刺激性が味わえる良作。あえて注文をつけるなら、単体でシングルカットできるポップな曲が１曲ほしかったかも。

こんなに顔が広いのは長くにわたってヨーロッパなどでも
活躍の幅を広げてきたためなのでしょう。
BENJAMIN DIAMOND,tahiti80とコラボなんて
なんてすごいことだと思ってしまいます。

BENJAMIN DIAMONDはdiorのショーなども手がけ、
２００万枚のセールを記録したほどの逸材ぶり、
tahiti80は聞けば聞いたことある曲は必ずあるといっていいほど
日本でもかなり売れているとおもいます。

しかしこれほどまでの人とコラボできるなんていいな〜。
いちど会ってみたいものです。

顔の広さだけではなく曲ももちろんいいです。
ちなみにオフィシャルサイトで
繰り返し流れている曲は３曲目です。

最近では、SOFFetのプロデュースも手がけたそうです。
ホントに田中さんｗの活躍は止まりません。
