待望のニューシングルは、Nestle「KIT KAT」のCMでもお馴染みの楽曲。インディーズシーンで圧倒的な支持を集めるバンド「ASPARAGUS」のVo.&G.であり、彼女のライヴではリードギターを務める渡邊忍氏が作曲・プロデュースを担当した、ギターロックチューン。何かを始めたい人、一歩踏み出したい人たちにとっての応援歌としてじっくり聴きこんで欲しい作品。

【アーティストについて】
昨年6月に『Level 42』でメジャーデビュー。同年12月発売の1st アルバム『KAELA』でチャート初登場8位を獲得。昨年3月に発売された3rdシングル『リルラリルハ』でシングルチャート初登場第3位を記録し、全国的な認知を獲得。夏にはsummer sonicを筆頭にフェス、イベントに多数出演。4thシングル『BEAT』では奥田民生氏とのコラボレーションを果たすなど、アーティストとして大きくステップアップを果たす。

今までの彼女のシングルの中で一番好きです。
楽曲自体、イントロからギターのサウンドが心地よくカッコイイし
何よりカエラちゃんの声・雰囲気にマッチしています。

バックバンドのリードギターを務めている方によるプロデュースにより
今まで以上に彼女のパワフルでキュートな魅力が
引き出されていると思います。なんともフレッシュ…。
歌詞も前向きで励まされるし、PVもキュートでユニークですね！
ただ可愛いだけがウリではない木村カエラちゃんに'06も注目です。

KIT KATのCMソングにしては、甘くない。本格的なROCK NUMBER。サビに至るまでの曲の印象はやや固く、それがサビメロでいきなり爽やかに変化する。この弾ける感覚が「YOU」の魅力。
カエラちゃんのVOCALは相変わらず透明で、ちょっとセンチメンタル。そこに聞き惚れてしまう。そういう声の魅力を巧く引き出した一曲ですね。
この曲で、本格的なボーカリストとしての第一歩を歩き出したなと思います。

映画館で本編前に「キット　カット」のＣＭが流れ驚きました！！
前作の奥田氏プロデュース曲は奥田氏が作ったのだなぁーと思えば
お互いの良さがでてるなぁーと考えながら聴き込みました。。。。

しかし！！
この「Ｙｏｕ」は聴いた瞬間に体」に流れこんできました！！！
そして自分で改めて聴いて、吸い込んでみると、もの凄く感動させられました！！
カエラさんは応援ソングと言っていましたがその通りだと思います！！
今年はカエラの時代です！！！！！！
