(1)は今風R&B系ヴォーカルをアコースティック・ギターに乗せて、渋い空気を醸し出している。東京での生活という対象に対する距離のとり方が微妙で、さめた目とまだ冷えきらない熱との交差が巧く表現されている。ライヴならもっと迫ってきそうだ。

メジャー・デビューの準備のために故郷・福岡を離れ、東京に向かう。YUI自身のリアルな体験が反映されたサード・シングル。テーマ自体は決して目新しくはないし、凡庸なシンガーが扱えば“ベタ”になりかねない危険性もあるが、彼女が持つ鋭い感受性、そこから生まれる純度の高いヴォーカリゼーションによって、この曲はどんな人でもすんなりと感情移入できる作品に仕上がっている。簡素な言葉で物事の真実を貫くリリック、生々しい息遣いを伝えるアコースティック・ギターを含め、表現者・YUIの底知れぬ可能性を感じさせる一曲。 (森 朋之) --- 2006年02月号

本当に新たに旅立つ方に聴いて欲しい１曲です。
私自身も上京するときに新幹線で聴いていたら涙がぼろぼろと出てきて大変でした(笑)
YUIさんの飾らない言葉がストレートに心に響いてきて本当に良い曲です。

♪住みなれた　この部屋を　出てゆく日が来た　新しい旅立ちに　まだ戸惑ってる
夢を抱いて努力して上京してくる人たちってみんなこんな気持ちだと思います。

♪正しいことばかり選べない　それくらいわかってる
ってところが大好きです！
歌詞が良いです。

カップリングのHELPはうってかわって元気な曲です。
でも決して軽い曲ではありません。
ここでもYUIさんらしい言葉でメッセージが込められています。

YUIさんファン必聴の一枚です。

　YUIの曲はカップリングの曲が良いのですが、私はこの曲のカップリング曲の「HELP」が一番好きです。とてもノリがいいのでとても気に入っています。いつかカップリングの曲を集めたアルバムとか、ベストアルバムにはきっと入ってくる一曲だと思います。

ＹＵＩが地元福岡から東京へ出発した当日の
心情を詞に託した曲でこれから旅立つ人に聴いて貰いたいと
インストアライブでも言っていました。
ひたむきに唄うその姿、唄は今を必死に生きている人々の心に
きっと響くと思います。
