初めて聴いた戸川純のアルバムが「東京の野蛮」だった。それまでずっと洋楽ばかり聴いていたが、とても新鮮だった。よく言われている七色の声、突き抜けた歌唱。そして歌詞の魅力。これだと思った。このアルバムを聴いて以来、戸川純はぼくにとって特別な存在になった。ライブで聴いた「諦念プシガンガ」には感涙した。戸川純は最高だ。

日本が世界に誇れる最強のＤＩＶＡ戸川純のベスト。とにかく日本でこれだけ本格的なニューウェーブサウンドが作られてたってことにはびっくりです。そしてなんといっても唯一無二としか言えない七色の声。なんでこんなにたくさんの声色が使い分けられるのかと。純ちゃんに比べればマライアキャリーなんて甲高い声でキーキー喚いてるだけですね。楽曲にも相当恵まれてる。こんな人、もう二度と現れないだろうなあ。リアルタイムでファンやりたかったです。ソロアルバム全部持ってるけど不思議に統一感あるし一枚のアルバムとして楽しんで聴けます。 しかしパンク蛹化の女は…こんな歌い方する人他にいないよな。世界中探してもいないよ。
