   数字のクロスワードパズルで脳の力を鍛える携帯型液晶ゲーム機。縦横9列のマス目を1から9の数字で埋める。イギリスの新聞紙「The Times」、アメリカの「The New York Post」などで掲載後、欧米でブームとなり、新聞のパズル欄で連載されたり専門パズル誌が発売されている「SUDOKU(数独)」が液晶ゲームになったもの。SUDOKUは、最初アメリカで「ナンバープレイス」という名で登場したパズルゲームで、その後日本のパズル誌出版社ニコリが、1桁の数字しか使わないことから「数独」と名付けて紹介した。
   パズルの解き方は、縦横9列のマス目にあらかじめ配置されている数字を手がかりに、空いているマスに1~9までの数字を入れていく。縦列、横列、3×3のブロック内には1~9までの数字が1つずつ入り、同じ列とブロック内には同じ数字は2つ入らない。解答は1つだけになっている。説明書付き。

祖母のアタマの体操にどう？と思い、試しに買ってみた。アタマの体操には大変良いゲーム内容。しかし数字がタテ４ミリ程と小さい！＆バックライトが無い分見づらい。数字の仮置き機能も、操作は簡単なれど表示がメチャ小さい。カーソルの現在位置も度々見失う。老眼の年配者にはキビシぃかな。

キーを押すとピッという操作音が鳴る。スイッチ操作で消音も出来るが、ゲーム中に理由なく消えたりする。説明書にも「何らかの原因で音が鳴らなくなることがある」と明記されているので、どうやら公認バグらしい。リセットすれば復帰する。

数字の小ささと音バグ、この２点を除けば「この値段で？」というほど良い出来だ。デザインも写真で見るよりずっとスタイリッシュな印象だ。

数独の携帯ゲーム化は「仮置き機能」が最大の特徴になるようです

この商品だと、セグメント(デジタル文字の７本の棒)の特殊な表示を
利用して仮置きできるようになっています
セグメントのなかに小さい数字が白抜き文字で表示されているため、
全体的に表示された数字が鮮明さに欠け、画面が少し見づらいです。
視認性の問題から、入力用カーソルも見失い易いです

この表示方法なら、もう少し本体が大きくてもよかったのでは？
と思います。目に自身のない方には少しつらいかと…
数独で欲しいと思いつく機能はまず入っていますので、
ちょっと見づらい点さえ除けば良品だと思います

よって、とことん遊び尽くす！寧ろ一生使う！
くらいにお考えの方は、同系統のゲーム機がまだ複数出るようなので
もう少し様子見されてみたほうが良いかも知れません。

数独自体の液晶表示サイズは39mm×39mm
本体は78mm×109mm×16〜25mm(電池が入る部分が膨らんでます)
私的には思ったより小さいサイズでした

単４電池２本(カバーを開くのにドライバー)が別に必要です。
携帯ゲームらしく(？)時計とアラームの機能、プレイ経過時間表示もあります。
正解かどうか瞬時に答え合わせできるのもデジタルならでは。新鮮です。

このゲームはいわゆる数独（パズル本）をゲーム機にしたものです。
それぞれのマスに１〜９の数字を入れていくだけの簡単なゲームです。
ゲーム機になったメリットは間違ってしまった場合にやり直しが簡単に出来ること、問題数が豊富なことです。
逆にデメリットはマスが非常に小さく目に悪いこと、カーソルが見えにくいこと、一度数字を入力したマスで別の数字を押してしまうと”メモ”に切り替わってしまうこと（このメモの数字は大きさが１mmくらいしかないのでほとんど使い物にならない）、バックライトなどは付いていなく画面が暗いため光をほど良い角度で入射させないと画面がよく見えないことです。
難易度はlevel１〜５となっていますが、数独に比べるとかなり簡単です。初心者には嬉しいヒント機能も付いていますが、数独経験者にはほとんど必要ないでしょう。個人的にはlevel５でも物足りませんでした。
