普通の将棋盤ですが、駒が別売りのため、駒のサイズと盤の格子サイズが合っているかどうかは、吟味してから買ったほうがいいでしょう。（初心者の方は、あまりそういったことを考えないと思います。）
「任天堂 将棋駒 優良押」ならば、問題はありませんでした。

また、この商品を買ってしばらくしてから、盤が湾曲していることに気付きました。
元からなのか湿気や熱でやられたのかはわかりませんが、対局する際に、板の曲がりが少し気になることがあります。
ただ、この値段ですから、文句はいえないでしょうが。。

まず、将棋を始める方や初心者には、この将棋盤をお勧めいたします。

特に「高速棋譜並べ」には、最低限この盤以上のものでないとちょっとやりづらいかもしれません。
また、折り畳めますし、厚さも薄目で重くないので置き場所に困ることはないでしょう。
