イベントライブで彼らの音楽を体で感じ，「なんじゃ，このバンド。めちゃ，うまいし，熱いぜ！」。その印象で買った前作「PLUS ONE MORE」ですっかりファンになった。その勢いで，ライブにも行き，次作のこのアルバムに期待していただけに，期待を裏切らない素晴しいできに満足。「これだ！俺が求めていた音楽は！」。Funk-a-lismo!最高！

今までのスクービードゥーが鉄パイプを闇雲に振り回していただとしたら（そこも好きだったりもするんだけど）、
今回は切れ味鋭い日本刀を狙いをつけて振り回している感じ。でも、やっぱり力いっぱい振り回してる。
ジャズやらファンクやらブルースやらR&Bやら、様々なブラックミュージックへの愛情と、
どうにも止められない、ツバが飛んできそうな熱さが最高の一枚。
でも、時々「洗練」という言葉も浮かんでくる。
確実にバンドのスケールアップが感じられるこの一枚、どうです？あなたも。

まず、収録曲一覧に

4.Back On4Swingin'Rebel

とありますが、4曲目は

Swingin'Rebel

が正しいです。
内容はというと、良い意味で「老けこんだ」ような、ぶ厚くて渋い曲ばかり。もちろんグリグリに踊れる曲ばかりだが。
前作の「PLUS ONE MORE」が地下だとしたら、いよいよ地上に這い出してきたようなイメージの今作。
いよいよ、これから何かやらかしてくれるんじゃないかという雰囲気が漂う。

「PLUS ONE MORE」や、この後に続く「SCOOBIE DO」が好きな人は必ず気に入るはず。

1曲目の「A Chant For Bu」は、ライヴでスクービードゥーが登場する時のお決まり曲。
