海上自衛隊にも協力を頂いてるだけあって艦艇の描写は本格的だけど、
肝心のストーリーの方はキャラ萌えの主張がしつこ過ぎて、
一体何を描きたいのか良く分からない作品。

全体のストーリーを通して言わせてもらうと、
まずコンテの切り方からしてエロに力をかなり入れているのが分かる。
しつこい位に女キャラの全身を下から上へとPAN-UPさせて見せまくるコンテ。
やたらと胸やら股間やらをアップにしたがるコンテ。揺れまくる胸。
台詞についても萌えアニメにありがちなパターンがかなり盛り込まれていて、
とにかく狙っているなというのが手に取る様に分かる位に盛りだくさん。

総評としては、
しつこい位に濃度の高いエロと萌えを押し付けてくるコテコテの萌えアニメになっている。
そのため、そういうのが好きな人にはおすすめします。
しかしストーリーはそのオマケみたいなものです。
萌えでの主張ばかりが先行し、ストーリーで魅せる事をとにかく怠っている結果こうなってしまったみたいなアニメです。

制作者は、自衛機関のストーリーを描きたいのではなく、
単に萌えアニメが作りたかっただけなんじゃないのかと思わせる駄作。

わざわざ海自にも協力してもらって、出来たアニメがこれかい！？と幻滅した萌えアニメ。

ＴＶシリーズで見た、と言う方はご存じでしょうが、
このシリーズ。まるで某週刊少年誌十週打ち切りみたいな
尻切れトンボ的終わり方をしています。
謎は謎として残されたままで、すべては続編が出ることを
前提としたような幕の引き方をされました。
買われる方はその点にも留意しましょう。

　遠い未来、太平洋上に巨大低気圧が居座り続け、海上運輸交通が危険になった。
　そのせいで近代海賊が跋扈する嵌めになった。
　そして、それを警備する民間会社が発展した。
　そんな会社郡の中の護衛艦「パスカルメイジ」乗組員が全員女性だった。
　しかも、幼馴染ツンデレ系からメガネ娘、巨乳、チビッコまで「そういうタイプ」を
ひたすら詰め込んだ。
　それらは全部どうでも良いから！
　（・・・そうでもないかな・・・一応、それが「売り」らしいから）
　とにかく、実際の自衛隊が取材協力した精密なメカニック描写が卓越でそれだけで
十分に見応えがあります。
　むしろ、映像特典で入っている「はるさめ」の取材映像の方が軍ヲタの心をゆすぶって
仕方ありません。
　さすがにＣＩＣの映像はありませんでしたけど微妙な裏話とかが満載で十分に
楽しめました。（機関室の事を「機械室」と言う等々）
