5.0 out of 5 stars 合戦シーンの迫力は、大河史上一番, 2007/6/29
　視聴率はいま一つ振るわなかったようだが、個人的には最も好きな大河の一つだ。
　秀吉が死んで関ヶ原に至るまでの2年間、多数派工作によって全国の大名が二分していく様子が実に丁寧に描かれている。
　そして、特に出色なのが関ヶ原合戦シーン。
　両軍合わせて15万という未曽有の規模の合戦の為、映像化するのが難しく、ドラマや映画でも割愛される事の多かったこの関ヶ原合戦を、あそこまで真正面から詳細に描いた事が凄い。（スモークでうまく全景が見えないように工夫されてはいたが。）その迫力ある映像は、昨年の「功名が辻」でも流用されていた。
　大坂夏の陣以降はイベントに欠け失速していったが、前半の重厚で緊迫感ある役者の演技や演出は素晴らしい。

　近年の大河は通好みの男臭いキャストが少なくなっただけに、純粋な歴史ファンならこういう作品の方が楽しめるに違いない。

歴代のドラマの中で最もよく関ヶ原の合戦が描かれています。その合戦の直後、徳川家康役の津川雅彦が、寝返りで有名な小早川秀秋に石田三成の居城である佐和山城を攻めるように指示します。そこで姫路宰相池田輝政役の磯部勉の一言が「豆を煮るには豆がらをたく」。この強烈な皮肉。脚本家のジェームス三木さんの台詞にはたわいのない会話の中にも心にグサリとくるものがあります。

　『独眼流政宗』以降、あきらかに進歩したのは、ＣＧ処理と
甲冑などの小道具のレベル。この『葵　徳川三代』の初回、
‘総括関が原’もそのとおり精密でした。
家康役の津川氏が爪を噛んだり、馬上鞍壺を叩いたり、
史実に忠実な再現に大変感服しておりました。
　演技には文句の付けようが無かったのですが、江守氏の‘三成’、
西田氏の‘秀忠’にはちょっと違和感も感じましたね。
岩代太郎氏の荘厳でリリカルなテーマ曲も素晴らしいものでした。
もう一度全編観たい作品にひとつです。
