当間修一さんが主宰されている大阪ハインリッヒ・シュッツ室内合唱団のトップメンバーで構成されている11人のヴォーカル・アンサンブル“アウローラ・ムジカーレ”による複数のライヴ録音を1枚のＣＤにまとめられたものです。

収録曲は、日本の懐かしい唱歌や童謡、世界の民謡やポピュラーソング、ラッソの「マトナ、我が愛しき人よ」やジャヌカンの「鳥の歌」などのシャンソン、ラヴェルの「三つのシャンソン」、有名で馴染みのあるクリスマスソング、そして武満徹の「翼」、木下牧子作曲の「夢見たものは」「鴎」などの日本の現代邦人作品ほか、26曲もの幅広いレパートリーを聴くことができます。

全曲を聞きとおしての感想はとても爽やかで、華麗で心温まる演奏だ、ということです。特に日本語の現代作品の伸びやかな歌い方はアマチュア合唱団のお手本とも言うべきものでした。いいですね。合唱を歌う喜びというものが演奏からストレートに伝わってきました。

少ないメンバーで正確なハーモニーを構成する難しさは合唱を長く経験された方はよくお分かりだと思います。少しのアンサンブルの乱れがハーモニーを崩します。息継ぎ一つとっても、メンバーの呼吸があわないと傷のように聞こえてしまいますので。

録音の面では、直接音の比重が高く（マイクが近かったせいか）、もう少しホールの残響があったほうがキレイに聞こえたと思いますし、一部雑音が収録されていたのは残念でした。
技術的な面では、このメンバーの技量を持ってしてもラヴェルの「三つのシャンソン」は乱暴でしたね。もっともっと精緻なアンサンブルを期待したいと思いますし、出来る力量を持ったヴォーカル・アンサンブルだと思っていますので。

木下牧子作曲の「夢見たものは」「鴎」は、多くの合唱団のレパートリーとして歌われていますが、このＣＤに収録されている「夢見たものは」で歌われているような透明感や「鴎」で聞くことの出来る合唱の熱さというものは他の団ではなかなか聞けないと思いました。
名演です。
