まず。前作のような突き抜けていくような疾走感はない。
前作で目立っていたピアノも、脇役になっている。

ピアノと疾走感。
この二つを前面に押し出さず脇役にしてしまって「waking ashlandの”らしさ”」って何だろう？
そう思っている人は聞いてください。

ジョナサンの歌声は、更に力強く説得力を持ち、繊細で綺麗な詩は
曲調に深みを与えている。感動的な展開で聞かせる曲調は全般を通
して、聞く側に爽やかな希望を感じさせてくれる。

お勧めは１・２・３・５

確かに前作のような疾走感あふれる作品を期待していた人には、
つまらなくなったと思えるかもしれない。しかし疾走の歩を緩めた彼らは、
何物かに化けようとしている気がしてならない。
メンバー脱退後初めての作品だけに、そんな期待を抱かせてくれる。

なお、去年の日本でのライブ映像も入っていて値段的にもお得な作品になっている。

前作の「Composure」を試聴の段階から激ハマリし、今作も発売日に即ゲットしました。
そんなほぼ盲目化してそうなそうなファンからの感想としては、I Am For Youほどの勢いみたいなのが感じられずちょいと残念ってところでしょうか。
メンバーの脱退等もあったようですし、バンドとして新しいスタイルを模索している印象を受けました。
ただ、ジョナサンの歌声、メロディは今作にも健在です！
派手さみたいなのは無くてもこれがWaking Ashlandだ！と、この「Telescopes」からの新曲７曲が放っています。
ライブ映像も入っていたりと値段の面から見ても十分な出来だと思いますので、ファンでない方でもオススメです！

前作に比べるとやはり疾走感は少ないがピアノも残ってるし、なによりジョナサンの声が良い!!!!あとメロディー!!そこは変わらないです。…ってか、october skiesのアコースティック良すぎ!!
