日本でヒットした曲が全て網羅されている。西城秀樹がカバーした「Y.M.C.A.」やピンクレディのカバーした「イン・ザ・ネイヴィー」。「マッチョ・マン」や「キャント・ストップ・ザ・ミュージック」「サンフランシスコ」「ゴー・ウェスト」などディスコで流行った全て挿入されている。ここにあげた曲全てが日本で流行ったのです。そう、スーパースターでした。ビジュアルも優れアーティスト名の如く「村人たち」に相応しくメンバーそれぞれが警官やインディアン、その他のコスプレをして楽しめたものです。全ての曲がアップテンポでディスコミュージックに相応しいノリノリに楽しめますよ。お勧めです！！

出た〜！！Y.M.C.A.ヴィレッジ・ピープルのベスト盤です。
もう乗り乗りですね。
このベスト盤、１２インチロングバージョンが多く収録されているのがたまりません！！
大ヒット曲Y.M.C.A.、マッチョ・マン、ゴー・ウェスト、イン・ザ・ネイヴィー、
４曲ともロングバージョンで長〜く楽しめます。
誰もが知ってる最大ヒット曲、１曲目収録の”Y.M.C.A.”は、シングルバージョンでなく、
前奏が長いテイク（アルバムバージョン？）になっています。
コレクターも大満足の内容ですね。
ただし、録音レベルの低い収録で音質は今ひとつです。
その辺、考慮しても手に入れておきたい一枚ですね！！
