４枚のオリジナルアルバムをリリース後、９６年に発売されたベスト盤の再発売盤です。１曲目「あなたにいてほしい」は当時のTBSドラマ（真昼の月）主題歌です。この曲は翌年発売のアルバム「シェイプス＆パターンズ」にも収録されていますが、イントロからアレンジがまったく違います。個人的にはベスト盤の方が深みがあって好きです。
私は大ヒット曲「ブレイクアウト」が聞きたくて購入し、スウィング・アウト・シスターが好きになり、他のアルバムも購入しました。それでも、今でも大事にしている愛聴盤です。

私的な意見だが、人生において最も好きなアルバムはと聞かれたら、映画「ニューシネマパラダイス」のサントラと、このアルバムを間違いなく挙げるであろう。20代の頃彼女と別れた後「あなたにいてほしい」を聞いて涙したあの時、秋の晴れやかな日「ウェイティング・ゲーム」を聞きながら、黄昏たあの時、夜中に一人酒を飲みながら「フォーエヴァー・ブルー」を聞いてまだ見ぬ新しい恋人に思いを馳せたあの時・・・。今は30代半ばのいいオッサンになってしまったが、今でも曲を聞くと鮮やかにあの頃に戻れる。濃密な時がこのアルバムには詰まっている。ヴォーカルの透明な音質が、それぞれの場面にすーっと入って今でも色褪せない音色となって聞かせてくれる。きっと何十年経っても私の中ではベストアルバムだと思う。

２００８年にもニューアルバムを出して今なお活躍中のスウィング・アウト・シスターは、
ボクにとってスタイル・カウンシル、エヴリシング・バット・ザ・ガールにならんで
お洒落でイカしたサウンドを聴かせる数少ないアーティストなのです。
大ヒットした「ブレイクアウト」や、ダスティ・スプリングフィールドのカバー「セイム・ガール」などなど、
このベスト盤は、落ち着いたシーンにぴったりの名曲満載カフェＢＧＭ集となっています。
また、お仕事のＢＧＭとしても最適。仕事がはかどること間違いありません。
大人が楽しめる洋楽をお探しのあなたに、超おすすめのＳＯＳ（Swing Out Sister）です！！
＜追記＞
「ブレイクアウト」は、キャメロン・ディアスがフォーマルなパーティードレスで
男性と華麗なダンスを披露しているソフトバンクＣＭで流れるあの曲ですよ！！
ちなみに、
キャメロン・ディアスのワンピースがカラフルに入れ替わるバージョンの曲は、ノーランズ「ダンシング・シスター」。
キャメロン・ディアスがママ役で、子どもをバスへ送るバージョンは、ナンシー・シナトラの「シュガータウン」。
雪の撮影シーンバージョンとペンキ塗りたてベンチバージョンは、
オリビア・ニュートン・ジョン＆ＥＬＯの「ザナドゥ」なのであります。
