前作は、カヴァーも多く、おしゃれなジャズ指向のポップスといった感じでした。今回の作品では、ロック、ジャズ、ヒップホップ、ファンクがいっそう、ブリティッシュ・ポップスらしく洗練されたかたちで、融合しています。前作での成功が自信となって、ジェイミーは、ただのジャズ指向のピアニスト以上の本領を発揮。ヴォーカルも、演奏も力強さを増しています。
さて、日本盤にはボーナストラックが4曲。そのうち、トラック15は、トラック6のリミックス。トラック16は、トラック１のミックス。トラック16は、ややカニエ・ウェストみたいになっていますね。残りの2曲は、輸入盤シングル“Get You Way”のパート１、パート２のカップリング。そういう意味では、まったくの未発表音源はないのですが、トラック17、18は、たとえシングルのカップリングでも、いわゆる“捨て曲”と言われるようなクオリティの低い曲ではなく、佳曲です。日本盤ボーナストラックに関しては、歌詞・対訳は省略されています。

このアルバムは最近買ったなかでもかなりのお気に入りです。
１曲１曲がみな光っています。
また彼の歌声もすごくいいですね。
音もとてもクリアで、録音にもかなり凝っているのではないでしょうか。
実はこれを買うまで彼のことはまったく知りませんでした。
前作もかなり話題なって売れたようなので、しばらくしたら聴いてみようと思っています。

彼を最初に聴いたのはToots Thielemansの「One More For The Road」内ででしたが、全く予備知識無しで聴いたので、すでにアメリカショービズ界の地方ドサ回りで鍛えた初老のヴォーカリストかと勘違いした程の老成感。しかし少々調べればそれは全くの誤解。若い頃から雑駁な環境でプロとしての腕を磨いてきたというプロフィールに納得。音もジャズのマインドを軸に様々なジャンルからの引用（というよりも消化後自然に出てくる）を駆使し、アップトゥデートな内容。1曲の中に少なくともふたつ以上の異なる要素を盛り込もうとするなど、作曲・アレンジ面でのどん欲さにニヤリ。
