このアルバム、大好きです！！
だけど、
『ミミ』、『ミミ・スペ』、そして『ミミ・プラチナ』と
同じアルバムを
オマケ（？）目的で３枚も買うのは少し辛いかな・・・
しかし、そう思っていてもファンとしては
オマケ
（ＣＤに追加される４曲とＤＶＤに収録される５曲のＰＶ）
目的で購入しちゃうんだよね・・・
内容的には、星５つ でも足りない位に最高な作品だと思います！！
（楽曲も良いし、歌声も最高！！）
ただ、
『ミミ・スペ』のオマケＤＶＤに収録されていた
「ＩＴ’Ｓ ＬＩＫＥ ＴＨＡＴ」の
ＰＶは、画質が悪くて
まるで、アナログ素材（ＶＨＳ）を見ている様だったので
（テレビで流れていた映像よりも悪い位に画質が甘かった・・・）
今回のＤＶＤでは良くなっている事を期待しています！！
早く発売されないかなぁ〜。。。

2006年2月現在、全米だけで500万枚、世界で750万枚の大ヒットを記録している通算10枚目のオリジナル・アルバム。
オープニングを飾る"It's Like That"は16位まで上昇。続く"We Belong Together"は14週1位を獲得(歴代2位タイ)、3曲目"Shake It Off"は最高位2位、追加トラック"Don't Forget About Us"は2週連続1位獲得。We Belong Togetherは2005年最も売れたシングルとなり、このアルバム自体も2005年、アメリカで最も売れたアルバムとなりました(サウンドスキャン調べ)。
アルバム自体の完成度も、"最高傑作"と呼べる程高い。多くのマライアファンの1番のお気に入りがこの"The Emancipation of MIMI"なのです。
個人的なお勧めは"It's Like That""We Belong Together""Mine Again""Say Somethin'""To The Floor feat.Nelly""Circles""Your Girl""Fly Like A Bird""Don't Forget About Us""So Lonely""Secretlove""Sprung"…というか全部ですね、ハイ。
昔マライアが大好きだったけど、最近の路線はちょっと…っていう人も、M-14"Fly Like A Bird"(Grammy賞でも熱唱)は絶対気に入る筈！！
マライアの大復活の記念として、是非是非聴いてみてください

とにかく曲・ヴォーカルともに、全曲素晴らしい出来になっています。
一時期はトラックとヴォーカルが噛み合っていないように感じましたが、
その点もかなり解消されているのではないでしょうか。

※ただ、同じ作品を何度も発売するのだけは何とかして欲しいです。
(私は通常盤→スペシャル盤→プラチナ盤と3枚も購入しました･･･｡)
