驚いたのはまず、画質の良さ！僕はこのボックスでは醒拳と龍拳を
ブロードウェイ版とラインコミュニケーションズ版で持っている上で購入しましたが恐ろしく画質が良くなってます。そして何より一番驚いたのは、本編の長さの違い。醒拳は一分しか違いがないものの、龍拳はなんと、２１分もの違いが・・・（ブロードウェイ版本編７５分）（今回のボックス本編９６分）これはファンにとっては大きいのでは・・・このボックスのみしか購入してないので他の作品については分かりませんが、おそらく他にも本編の長さが違うものがあるんでは？

4.0 out of 5 stars 初期のジャッキー映画BOX, 2006/9/12
まさに、ジャッキーの“拳”シリーズここにあり!と言わんばかりのBOX。それぞれの作品に懐かしさを覚える。反対にこの時代(76年〜79年)は、ジャッキーにとって俳優としての勝負の年であり、第2のブルースリーとしようとするローウェイ監督と犬猿の仲になったのは有名な話。そんな時代の中でもジャッキーは、ブルースとはキャラが違う自らをなんとかアピールしようとしている様子が伺える。そんな事も考えつつ、「少林寺木人拳」から制作順に「笑拳」まで(「醒拳」は例外)観ると、当時のジャッキーの成長ぶりが分かるはず。まぁ、堅い話は抜きにして、このBOX作品を楽しみましょ〜◎

初期のジャッキー作品は某映画会社が買い取り、オリジナルの曲を作って上映した経緯があり、今となっては廃盤のビデオ（成龍拳、天中拳、蛇鶴八拳、笑拳だけ）のみに収録されているといった代物です。
他の作品は劇場上映か、テレビ（吹き替え）放送だけ！
先ずは吹き替え未搭載と、その慣れ親しんだ呪縛を解き、作品の面白さだけで楽しめるか否かによってこの作品への価値が違ってきます。
でも音楽にしても、吹き替えにしても海賊版を黙らせるだけの完璧版を作って出して欲しかったよなぁー
