CDの方はリマスターされていたり、未発表テイクもあったりでそれなりにうれしいけど、おまけDVDのDonovanの映像ドキュメンタリーが一番嬉しい。

今まではSecret Policemenライブでのゲスト出演、映画｢パイドパイパー｣と映画｢火曜日ならベルギーよ｣しか記録された映像はなかったから、短いドキュメンタリーとは言え大変貴重。英語が通じないはずのギリシャの漁村や酒場でのゲリラライブで聴衆の老いも若きもが陶酔してしまうさまを見ると、やっぱりこの人はカリスマ性というかオーラを発するというか不思議な芸術家だなあと納得。

足らない！足らない！あの曲も、この曲も！しょせん、この枚数では足りません。こんな長いキャリアの持ち主、枚数足らないのわかりきってる！　ま、入門者向けですな。しかたないか。私としては、ジェフ・ベック・グループとの共演のアウトテイクも欲しいし、HMS.DONOVANからの曲、不思議なノリのケルティック・ロック、ライブ　イン　ジャパンでの名演サッドネスとか入れて欲しかった。また、問題作コズミック・ホイールズからは凄まじいヴォーカルを披露したWILD WITCH LADYを入れないと、昔から評判の彼の歌唱の素晴らしさがわからない。おまけに、アリス・クーパーとのビリオン・ダラー・ベイビーズも入れて欲しかったなあ。　次は,せめてＣＤ５枚組ぐらいで出し直して欲しいくらい。でも、BOXもの出ただけでも幸せかな。あと、７３年のライブ　イン　ジャパンの完全盤出て欲しいなあ。
