私見ですがこれはEternal,Body kissを遥かに凌ぐ名作ではないでしょうか。
90年以降ではMission To Pleaseに次ぐ。

今回はR氏だけではなくEternalのように様々な音職人を招いていて、
それがジャムルイのような大御所ではなく（JDは除く）、
Tim&BobやGordon Chambers、Troy Taylor、Manuel Sealなど
まさにR&Bの良心というべきいぶし銀の人選！で、これが素晴らしい仕事ぶりなのです！
R氏もHappy People以降の音（これも素晴らしい！）で迎え入れ抜かりはありません。

正直JDの音はマンネリ気味でいらないなーと思ったし
（実際かつてのパートナーだったManuel Sealの方がいい仕事してる）、
代わりにR氏がもう2,3曲やってくれたらとも思いましたが、
このコンセプト、クオリティコントロール、USのメジャーもまだまだ捨てたもんじゃないですよ。
ロンは今更言うに及ばず、相変わらず懐の深い、包容力のある甘い歌声で蕩けさせてくれます。
70年代の方がイイ曲あったよ、という人もいるでしょうが、今のこの時代にこれが出せたというのが重要です。
還暦を過ぎなおこんな作品を出せる彼らにひたすら敬服するしかありません。必聴！

相変わらず誰にも真似出来ない艶やかな声は健在で、美しくメロウな楽曲で展開された作品だ。前作"Body Kiss"に比べるとやや普遍的な感じに落ち着いてしまったように感じるけれど、それでもアルバムの完成度はかなり優れている。

前作はR. Kellyが全面的にプロデュースを行ったけれど、今作では2曲目の"Blast Off"のみの参加。これまで一連のMr. Bigg劇場が見られなかったのは残念なんだけれど、やはりこの2人のデュエットは至高の賜物。2人のメロウなボーカル合戦は聴く人全てを酔わせる力が存在する。そして、1曲目"You're My Star"はCurtis Mayfieldの"Makings of You"をサンプリングしたクールな楽曲。僕個人的にこの"Makings of You"はとても思い入れのある楽曲で、またCurtisとRonの関係とかそういったものを含めて聴いていると、心にジーンと熱いものがこみ上げてくる。他にも、先行シングルで発売された"Just Came Here to Chill"はアルバム"Mission to Please"収録の名曲"Tears"のようなテイストを感じさせる。素敵で何処か切ない気持ちが浮かんでくる名バラードだと思う。

多くの若手R&Bプロデューサーに頼っている部分は確かにあるけれど、今でも現役で活躍している所を見るとやはりThe Isley Brothersというバンドはとてつもなく凄いバンドだと思わざるを得ない。そして、Ronの歌の表現能力はやはり一際輝きを放っている。他の若手R&Bシンガー達の教本と言ってもよい位だ。これからもマイペースに、ずっと良い音源を提供してくれる事を心から願う事にしよう。（とりあえず、Ronが懲役を済ませるのを待たないとな・・・。）
