5.0 out of 5 stars NO'SOME TONEBENDER ではありません。, 2005/12/20
ジャケットからしてロック！といった感じだが、ロックといっても色々なジャンルがある。
今作では、その「ロックと呼ばれるもの」全てを詰め込んだようにアルバムに仕上がっている。
そして、どんなに爆音の中でも際立つメロディ、耳に必ず引っかかる曲調。

最近聞いてなかったけど、テレビでのパフォーマンスを見て、久々購入した。
けど、「やっぱモーサムはモーサムだな」って安心できる、そんなアルバムです。
やっぱり、「ビートルバーナー」をリメイクしているのが影響しているのか、インディーズ時代の鋭い音が再び戻ってきたようにも感じる。
でも、「ペチカ」を初めとするバラードなんかも、凄く優しく歌い上げていて、こんなに変幻自在のバンドだったっけ？って鳥肌が立ってしまった。

モーサム最新アルバム。
他のアルバムと比べかなり聴きやすくなっています。
とはいえ、轟音、激しさなどという基本的な部分は変わっていないので悪しからず。
そしてなんと言っても、タイトル通り正統派ロックンロール。
ブランキー、ミッシェルが抜けた今、彼らが一番そのポジションに近いといえるでしょう。
また、椎名林檎さんもこのアルバムに参加しているのでファンの方は要チェックです。
まあ百聞は一見にしかず。
いや百読は一聴にしかず。
まずは聞いてみることをオススメします。

最高のアルバムだと思う。それだけ。
HELLOでの轟音、LSDでのノイズ、THでの実験。
TSOAの美しさ。それらがあったからこそここまで彼らは到達した。
それも、ギリギリの到達点ではなく、余裕すら感じさせる。

あと、ミッシェルフォロワーなんかでは全然ないので。
