　まるでディズニーのアニメ映画のようなオープニングに始まり、コミカルな雰囲気の歌モノから壮大でミステリアスなインストまで、色々と収められており非常に楽しめる内容です。通して聴くとまるで１本の映画でも観たような気分になります。歌詞がわからなくても、聴いた人それぞれが色々な風景や場面を想像できるようなアルバムです。非常に緊張感のある良い演奏を聴かせてくれているのですが、どことなく漂うお気楽な雰囲気も良い感じです。
　ミステリアスな雰囲気を醸し出す様々なキーボード類の使い方がとても上手です。どことなくとぼけたようなおちゃらけたヴォーカルもいい味を出しています。またギターやサックス、フルート等も非常に効果的にこのカラフルな音世界を構築しています。
　特筆すべきは、これら上モノを支える強力なリズムセクションではないでしょうか。非常にテクニカルなドラム。それに巧みにからみ、時にメロディックでミステリアスなソロも聴かせるベース。グルーヴィーでとても心地よいです。
　是非最初から最後まで通して聴いて欲しいです。眉間にシワを寄せる必要のないとても楽しいプログレ／ジャズロック系のアルバムです。
　ＧＯＮＧはホールズワース参加の「ガズーズ」ばかりではありません。ガズーズみたいのを期待するとショックかもしれませんが、固定観念を捨てて接して欲しいですね。

７４年発表の６作目。ゴングの代表作であり、ラジオ・ノーム・インヴィジブル三部作の完結編でもある。本作の後、中心人物のアレンとジリ・スミスが脱退するために実質的なゴングは本作で一時凍結となったと見ても良い(ゴングは演奏メンバーによって継続されていくが・・・)。本作の後、スティーヴ・ヒレッジ(g) もティム・ブレイク(syn) も脱退してしまうが、彼らと後のゴングを率いる技術屋のマイク・ハウレット(b) やピエール・ムーラン(dr) とコンセプト・メーカー/ストーリー・テラーであったアレン＆スミスが融合した本作の魅力は言葉では表せ切れないものがある。何にしてもゴングとしては変革期、最大の節目になった作品であり、代表曲の５．を収録しているなど、あらゆる意味で重要な作品である。その５．はティムがいてこそ出来上がったタンジェリン・ドリーム的な美しい曲 (後半はクリアライト的なジャズ・ロックとなる) であり、本作以降では全く見られなくタイプの曲である。このような曲と従来のヒッピー・カルチャー的(チンドン屋的？)な楽しい曲、そして後の演奏主体の曲が共存した本作は、やや難解なイメージもあるが、とりとめがないようで全体としては非常にうまく融合、共存しており、トータル的なおもしろさは他の諸作を凌いでいると思う。
