ジャケを一見して路線変更されたことが分かったので不安と期待に揺れながら購入。
1stと2ndの「大聖堂の奥から聴こえる天使が奏でたメタル」が堪らなく好きだったので、その荘厳さが大幅に減少した、というより別の音楽に聴こえたことに最初は少々戸惑った。しかし、「アダージョらしい雰囲気」と思っていたものは随所で感じられるし、ギターと鍵盤の音が良く聴こえるし、即効性が大幅にアップしたし、総合的には好印象（聴く人によって賛否両論？）。やはりステファン・フォルテは天才。
新Voは個人的には前任より好み。この声で1stと2ndをもう1回録って欲しい・・・。

フランスのプログレッシブ・パワーメタルバンド、アダージョの3rd。今までの荘厳な雰囲気が一転し、アグレッション溢れるパワーメタルになった。「Fire Forever」に見られる典型的なパワーメタルや「Dominate」や「Terror Jungle」に見られるデスヴォイス(なんとステファン・フォルテが出してる!)、プログレ曲「Children Of The Dead Lake」に表れているひんやりした空気など、好きな人には本当に好きな作品に仕上がった(俺は結構好き)。ただ初期に見られたような荘厳な雰囲気は消え失せたのでチャーチメタル?みたいなやつが好きな人にはオススメできない。また無名のわりに意外とうまいブラジル人ボーカル、ガス・モンサントはうまいのだが芯が細く聞いていて心もとないし、相変わらずステファン・フォルテ(G.)はスウィープフレーズ多用のソロが目立つので飽きが来てしまうのが残念。あとドラムがパカパカ鳴っているのが曲調に合わないので重い音に変えてほしい(Sodomみたいな笑)。いろいろと問題ありのアダージョだが次作もこの路線を変えずヘヴィにテクニカルにやってもらいたい。頑張れアダージョ!

フランスの若きテクニカル・ギタリスト、ステファン・フォルテ率いるネオクラ系プログレッシヴ・メタルバンドのライヴ盤を挟んでの３ｒｄアルバム。

今作では、デビュー作・前作と歌っていた実力派シンガー、デイヴィッド・リードマン（PINK　CREAM69）が脱退し、日本では無名のブラジル人シンガー、ガス・モンサントにチェンジしているほか、ドラムスも、ELEGYのダーク・ブルイネンバーグからエリック・リバイリーにチェンジしている。

音楽性は、ライヴをこなしていく中でノリも必要という考えが生じたのか、今までになくストレートな、メロディック・パワー・メタルの要素を多分に含んだ路線にシフト。爆裂疾走する＃１“Fire　Forever”でその傾向は顕著に窺える。
その後も、これまでのプログレッシヴな部分は残しつつも、より明解なメロディを主軸に据えた楽曲が並び、良く言えばとっつきやすい内容に仕上がっていると言えよう。

しかし、この変化は逆に、２ｎｄ「UNDERWORLD」で崇高なまでに漂っていた神秘性・威厳を大きく減退させてしまっており、その荘厳さに惹かれていたファンには微妙な仕上がりかもしれない。
また、楽曲の志向によるものだけでなく、前述のメンバー交替もこれに拍車をかけてしまっている様に感じるのは自分だけだろうか?
共に十分な逸材だが、個人的には、前任の二人が醸し出していた「必殺仕事人的なオーラ（汗）」がイマイチ感じられず、結果として作品全体のシリアスさを削いでしまっている気がしてならない。
そこいらのバンドがこれほどのレベルの作品を創りあげてきたら両手放しで歓迎するが、要はそれだけステファンの作品に求めるレベルが高いってことで(汗)

まあ、繰り返すけど決して質の低い作品ではないので、そこら辺は誤解のないように(^_^;)

むしろこれまでの作品聴いて、ちょっと難解だな、と敬遠したリスナーにはチャレンジして欲しいかな。アルバム前半の楽曲は結構強力だし、わかりやすいし。

とりあえず次回作に期待!!
