　ＣＤの時代になってＡ面Ｂ面というものがなくなったが、ここではちょっと昔に
帰って、この全11曲からなるアルバムを、Ａ面Ｂ面で見てみよう。

　まずＡ面は １曲目から６曲目まで。１曲目の「バナナ･ミルフィーユ」はめずら
しくHipHop調だが、「仕草ひとつひとつあなたひとつひとつあたしひととようっ」
と歌う、いつもながらの言葉遊びが楽しい。そのあと、シングルのＢ面曲が２曲、
さらにシングルＡ面曲が「かざぐるま」「影踏み」「指切り」と３曲続く。

　Ｂ面は、７曲目の「アンモナイト」から。「私アンモナイト、あなたがいないと、
なんもないと、愛がないと」と、たたみかける説得力。キング・クリムゾンを思わ
せるアレンジもすごい。10曲目タイトル･チューンの「＆」は１分半のほのぼのと
した小曲。「おうちへ帰ろう」って。・・・やられてしまった、窈ちゃんの椅子取り
ゲームだ。
　最後の曲は「さよならありがと」。恋の終わりに、「また少しだけ君のこと／
無断で好きになったけど」「また明日、が言えなくても／きれいに笑う君がいる」
と言ってしまう男の子の歌。切ない。でも、聴いていて静かな元気がわいてくる
のはなんでだろう。

　以上、一遍の歌絵巻。おみごと。買いです。

　しっとりとして心に染み入ってくる彼女ならではの名曲、「かざぐるま」「影踏み」だけでなく、明るく軽快なタッチの曲など、彼女のいろいろな顔が散りばめられている。ＤＶＤの方には、彼女のイメージとは程遠い映像の「指切り（ＰＶ）」やライブ映像の「ハナミズキ」など、４曲が入っていて見ごたえ十分である。

何かが足りない気がする。
彼女の魅力は独特な声とその声によって表現される楽曲の世界観にあると思うのだが、
シングル曲以外は全体的にインパクトに欠けた。
前作の方が独自の雰囲気と完成度を両立させていたように感じる。
彼女のファンならこのような楽曲群で十分魅力を感じられるのだろうが、
もっと広い層にアピール出来るパワーがあれば本当に傑作になると思う。
今のファンだけに受け入れられる曲だけをつくり続けてはその先が無いから。
とはいえ安易に聴きやすくしようとその辺のJ-Popと同じになってほしくはない。
リスナーに迎合してほしいわけではないのだ。
実際、すでにシングル「指切り」では新しい境地に挑戦している。
１曲１曲まだまだ練りこんでいける余地を感じるため、
世界観を確立させること、そして一青窈はこんなもんじゃないだろうという
これからへの期待をこめて今作は星３つにする。
