兎に角、誰一人とし「人物」が描けていないということは、どういうことか。江口洋介も鈴木京香にしても印象が薄過ぎる。「何しに来たのか？」とこっちが訊きたくなる。戦略も幼稚で、あんなので加賀丈史はひかっかるのか？加賀丈史は、“凄み”どころか、“しょぼさ”の印象しか残らなかった。ラストにおいて、最高に盛り上がるはずの二人の対決も…閉口。本作品で伝えるべきメッセージも台詞ばかりでは説得力がない。脚本もさることながら、やはり監督に問題がある。

どうしてだろう？
設定、展開など、いくらでも面白くなりそうなピースが揃っているにも関わらず、全て上滑りしている。監督の演出に、ゴジラの影がちらついて見えるのは、自分だけだろうか？現代の自衛隊が抱える問題（自分は自衛隊は軍隊だと考える）に関しても、上辺だけをなぞっているだけの様に思うし、かといって心躍るような冒険活劇も無い。登場人物の掘り下げも弱く、死んでいく自衛隊員にも感動できない。特に的場浩二。あれは唐突過ぎでしょう！台詞もどこか青臭く、興醒めしてしまった。
１５億円もかけてこの出来なのは、あまりに寂しい。原作のファンだけに、あらゆる意味で残念な作品。

日本映画は予算が少ないせいか、全ての面において描き込みが足らなく
て手抜きのような感じに見えてしまいます。戦国時代も村や田畑や庶民
の生活が描かれておらず、原っぱにお城があるだけでは説得力に欠けま
す。

ストーリーも十分に練られておらず、各キャラクターの行動に理由や意
味も見出せず、感情移入ができませんでした。戦国へ行ってしまった不
安や恐怖、戦国大名の凄みもまるで感じられませんでした。せめて、現
代人の対比として、戦国時代の人たちはあまり知られていない俳優を起
用すれば、見知らぬ世界へ行った不気味さも表現できたかと思います。

しかし、２人の的場と対峙するラストは・・・・。

ややこしいだけです。

巨額な費用を掛けるハリウッド映画と比べては酷ですが、「ラストサム
ライ」の方が数段リアリティがありました。

でも、鈴木京香は映えますね。

宇宙の法則?神の意志?歴史が元に戻ろうとする働きには納得!最後の城崩壊シーンは迫力。SF色強く殺戮場面少なく肥満児を除けばサッパリとした印象を受けた。
