90年代半ばから京都で製作活動を展開していたDJ Larkを中心に国内外のレコード掘り師
＆DJを巻き込む形で形成されてきた謎のブレイクビーツ・マエストロ集団、A.Y.B.フォース。
富田清、DJタハラ、DJユーキ、Tナイス、マツモト・ヒサターカ、NY在住のブルジュンetc…、
様々な都市にメンバーを有する謎の集団が発表したインスト・ブレイクビーツ集が本作である。
オールドスクールHIPHOPを範とするサンプリング哲学を根底に、ファンク、ソウル、ディスコ、
ブラジリアン、ロック、ハウス…、世界中のレコード店／倉庫から掘り出したレア・ネタを
解体／再構成して遊び心溢れる独自のグルーブを醸し出すことに成功している。

だが個人的な感想を言うと、ノーコンセプトでまとまりに欠けていたり、繰り返し聞くには多少
耳障りであったりといった印象は否めない。そういう意味では好みが分かれるかもしれない。
それでも、彼らの"サンプリング"に対する哲学には共感するので、今後の活躍を期待したい。
