これまでに発売されたサウンドトラック3枚の中から、印象的な楽曲を収録したベスト盤。
主にVol.3のサントラを中心にチョイスされている。
しかし、ドラマで頻繁に使用されていた曲が結構洩れているので、
お金に余裕があるなら既発のサントラ3枚を購入した方がいいかもしれない。

ドラマでおなじみの曲が入っていないというレビューがありますが、
それは作曲者が選んだからではないでしょうか？作曲者と視聴者の見方のギャップは、どうしても出てくると思います。制作する人がうまくその辺のギャップを埋めるアイデアをもって作れば、そういう不満は防げたかも。ブックレットはストーリー解説という名目で、あらすじが書いてあるだけ。せっかくドラマデータベースなるところの人に依頼しているのだから、みどころの紹介（音楽の使い方、ゲスト、スタッフなど）を書いて欲しかった。本間勇輔選曲ならば本間氏のインタビュー、なぜこの曲を選んだのか？ということも含めた本間氏によるセルフライナーノーツも掲載したら、現状のページ数と同じでも十分読みごたえあるものになった。残念！でも、この時期にベストが出て良かったね、ということで星４つにしておきます。

これってベストなんでしょうかね？
あの名曲『罠（ブービートラップ）』が入ってないじゃないですか。
『未必の故意』だって入ってない。
なので、第２シリーズのサントラを買うのが
“ベスト”という感じがします。
